Trusted Plans was founded as an unbiased resource for funeral information, advocacy and funeral trusts for individuals, social service organizations, estate attorneys, clergy and financial planners.

Trusted Plans’ mission is to make funeral preplanning an easy, comforting and confident experience. Trusted Plan’s will do the necessary leg work to compare one funeral home to another. Trusted Plans will make sure the appropriate questions are being asked and that “apples are being compared to apples”. This way, families can have confidence that their funeral arrangements and the funeral home they select to carry out those arrangements satisfy their unique needs and expectations and do so at a reasonable price.

Trusted Plans is the brainchild of Linda E. Olsen, a funeral home owner and licensed Agent for Burial Agreements. Linda has worked in the pre-planning industry for over 10 years and has assisted numerous other funeral homes with their pre-need programs. In doing so, Linda noticed that many individuals are not pre-planning their funerals because not only are they uncomfortable discussing their own death, but just as importantly, because they lack the familiarity with the industry and the fortitude to try to decipher the multitude of conflicting messages they hear from the various funeral home marketing campaigns.

Linda noticed that individuals and professionals in the senior market are searching for an unbiased funeral industry resource that has, until now, not existed.

Trusted Plans, an unbiased funeral preneed resource, is a member of the Wisconsin Coalition of Aging Groups, Milwaukee Aging Consortium and the End of Life Coalition. Linda has been awarded the title of Certified Preplanning Consultant from the National Funeral Director’s Association. The CPC title is awarded to professionals that have shown a high level of ethical commitment to the clients they serve and have proven their superior knowledge base in funeral preplanning and the funeral industry as a whole.
